Explore the Ash and Walnut Bedside Table
At 53 cm wide and 62.5 cm tall, this bedside table with an ash veneer body is taller than it is wide, a proportion that fits the narrow gap between a bed and a wall where a broad nightstand simply will not go. The body is ash veneer, whilst the door and legs are solid ash wood with a walnut-coloured finish, so the parts that get handled and knocked are solid timber and the large flat surfaces are veneer, which is exactly the right way round for stability and for wear.
Behind the door there is a single closed compartment, and the door runs on soft-close hinges that catch it in the last few centimetres and draw it shut without a sound. Closed storage beside a bed does something open shelving cannot: it lets you put the room to rest visually at night, with cables, books and clutter behind a plain front. Ash has a strong, straight grain, and the walnut colouring deepens the tone whilst leaving that figure clearly readable.
