Low-emission board, levelling legs and matching pieces
The table is made with E0 manufactured wood, a classification for engineered panel with low formaldehyde emissions. E0 sits at the strict end of the scale and reduces the amount of harmful substances released into the room, which is worth weighing for a large piece of furniture in a space where people sit for hours with the windows shut. Engineered board also holds a wide top flat, and that is what lets the organic oak top keep its shape from one season to the next.
Adjustable legs are fitted so the table can be brought level on an uneven floor; a curved top telegraphs a wobble more visibly than a straight-edged one, so it is worth taking a minute over. The piece is designed to combine with the rest of the collection, letting a side table or console be added later in the same tone. For upkeep, brush along the grain with a soft dry cloth rather than across it, since a brushed finish traps dust in its texture, and wipe spills before they settle.
