Corduroy is a cut-pile fabric woven in ridges, and thickness changes everything about how it behaves. The super soft, thick corduroy used here has broad, deep wales that hold their shape under a hand, giving the sofa a tactile surface that reads warm even in a cool room. The timber inside carries FSC Mix Credit certification, made from a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests and FSC-controlled wood, and the fabric supplier holds OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification for environmentally safe and responsible production. The sofa is locally produced in Europe, reducing the CO2 emissions attached to transport. Hoover the corduroy along the wales rather than across them to keep the pile lying evenly.
