Discover a compact TV stand with sliding slatted doors
At 120 x 50 cm this is the small member of the range, sized for a flat that cannot give a whole wall over to media storage. The body is built in ash veneer with a dark finish, so the open, straight grain of ash still reads through the tone rather than being buried under it. Two sliding doors made of wooden slats run across the front, and because they slide rather than swing, no clearance is needed in front of the unit, which is useful when the sofa sits close.
The slats are the functional detail. Sliding one door across hides a shelf whilst revealing the next, so you choose what is on display and what is put away without ever moving the unit. The gaps between the slats also let a remote control signal through and allow warm air off a set-top box to escape, which a solid door panel would trap. Adjustable legs take up any unevenness in the floor, so a slatted TV cabinet still sits level on old boards.
